#FBF – A Look Back

It’s officially the last Friday of the year guys and honestly, I can’t help being just a little nostalgic.

This has been one of the most amazing years ever. I have had some of the greatest opportunities of a lifetime, personally and professionally and especially so with the blog.

Looking back at my memories from this year, I was really having trouble deciding what I wanted to share with you all because there were just too many awesome moments to choose from. So while I sit here flipping through more of these moments, here are just some of my favorites.

Manus x Machina

All the interweb is abuzz with the talk of the 2016 Met Ball, and like everyone else I was all too excited to see the red carpet looks. Manus x Machina is an interesting theme given the growing influence of technology on how most of the world’s fashions are created – with the dawn of 3-D printing, and print productions. etc.

I have a lot exciting thing going on but the best part of all – yesterday I celebrated my birthday! Adding to the excitement the clocks went back last night and spring made a grand appearance this week – which are two of the greatest presents ever!

But enough about me, here’s what’s been going on for the month thus far.

Month of Amoure

And like that the count is on. One more down.

Despite being the shortest month of the year, February is also one of the busiest here in NYC, and to add to the chaos it’s a leap year – meaning one more day to cram in eve more madness! But all that aside, this month has been truly amazing with awesome experiences and insights for the year thus far. With only ten more to go and I am beyond excited for the coming month…it’s going to be fantastic!

But before we get into any of this month’s festivities, let’s take a look back at some of last months happenings.

Weekly Rewind

This past week has zoomed by and it’s already mid week-again. I apologize again for the late weekly rewinds but it’s just been super hectic. So let’s just get right on in.

Tv

American Odyssey gets the boot after struggling to gain or maintain traction, the show which was already on the shortlist to be shelved has finally been nixed. Unable to gain the right momentum, NBC has decided to end the season. No word yet on if there will be a mid season replacement or any changes to the line up.

chasing-life-abc-family1

Chasing Life, an ABC Family original is set to return for it’s second season this month and one can only anticipate the drama and twists this season will hold for young April.

Women of the World

In honor of the past weekend’s International Women’s Day Celebration I would like to dedicate this post to some extraordinary women who have had ground breaking success in shattering the expectations of women in society whether it be in their field of study and employment or on the front lines fighting for women’s rights.

So let’s jump right in. Here are a few of my favorite female history makers from around the world.
