This past week I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Banana Republic’s latest collection at a fête at their flagship location at Rockefeller Center hosted by Who What Wear and Blair Eadie of Atantic-Pacific.

The evening was one spent dining on finger food and champagne with a chance to shop the collection first. Guests were also treated to a mini-makeover or touch-up their makeup with services by Irene Hernandez. (Also responsible for my glow).

There was also to opportunity to receive a free gift bag and a copy of the Who What Wear founders’ (Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power) latest book, The Career Code: Must-Know Rules for a Strategic, Stylish and Self-Made Career, with a purchase.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the lady of the hour who was incredibly insightful and sweet.

And also found several pieces that I cannot wait to add to my closet – if I ever get around to eliminating the pieces I no longer wear or need!*Yikes! The trouble with downizing.

I fell in love all over again with the windowpane print in this crisp black and white skirt – also comes in slacks and a matching blouse.

p.s. that striped dress up front also has matching suit separates – *le sigh*, the outfits I have cooked up in my mind!

Thank you again to Who What Wear and Blaire for the invitation it was a truly amazing evening.

p.s. The book is available for purchase here and here.
