An evening with Abercrombie Fitch x Elle Magazine
This past week I had the pleasure of attending an event hosted by Abercrombie & Fitch Elle Magazine and featured blogger Christina Caradona of Trop Rouge.
Held at the brand’s flagship Fifth Avenue location, the event was super exclusive with a guest list that comprised of models, bloggers, fashion fans and bigwigs alike. Guests were checked in at the door and then ushered into the store which was closed to the public for the evening’s festivities, and to the second floor where the main event was taking place, although guests were free to shop the entire store for more amazing finds.
The decor was warm and welcoming with fresh blooms dispersed throughout adding a clean aesthetic and melding well with the boho chic vybe of the collection.
Abuzz with eager fans of the featured blogger as well as enthusiasts eager to get a chance to view the brand’s new collection, the space came alive with a mix of trendy pop and friendly chatter and introductions.
Guests were treated to a free pair of the brands signature denim recently redone for the relaunch in a bevy new fits, washes and fabrications. I got lucky finding a pair of was fortunate to find a pair of ripped-in-the-knees, dark wash, grey-black denim that I had been in desperate need of adding to my closet for a while. The best part though was scoring this pair for free. That beats any of the other pairs I had been looking at elsewhere.
Surprisingly the brand’s new direction includes a great variety of products, mixing several trends like the touch of masculine blended with the feminine dresses and tops, that now includes BLACK (thank you!! ) as well as third-party products and signature pieces in versatile fits (god bless these hips).
I found myself drawn to quite a few pieces that I think may just be finding a new home in my closet this fall. The collection featured functional, trendy albeit sometimes eclectic and bohemian pieces tied together to give the ultimate blend of fashion, style and comfort at an amazingly reasonable price!
Also on hand were a bevy of the stores models providing refreshments as well as an onsite monogramming station and a gif picture booth, (which I got in on with fellow blogger Akeela Moore of The Fashion Plug.
I truly enjoyed getting to know the brand all over again and meeting some wonderful people. And I look forward to taking all the goodies from my swag box or a spin.
Till then I’m going to catch up on some trends for the upcoming season in the latest copy of Elle.
